The Adjustment Bureau (2011)
The Adjustment Bureau introduced the audience with David Norris (Matt Damon), a young politician, handsome with a range of careers that seem to look very bright was in front of him. Unfortunately, fate turned out to say otherwise. David lost a landslide victory in general elections due to a past disgrace that then come back to haunt him. However, David is not completely lost. Shortly before he announced his defeat in the general election, David met with Elise (Emily Blunt), an attractive woman who immediately drew the attention of David and seize completely. When David and Elise getting to know each other, their love hitch then come in the form of a group of people who want to prevent so that they can be together on the grounds that the fate indeed should never have brought them.
Nolfi, admittedly, very clever in developing the Adjustment Bureau since the beginning. He introduced the character of David Norris to his audience very well: make David into a character so sympathetic but surrounded by people who always control every action and words. When Nolfi then bring in the character of Elise into the storyline, Nolfi give a new color to the character Elise is so contrary to David: David is stiff now have to deal with the Elise is so free to determine every choice of life, a thing so he dreamed throughout his life. And with a very precise chemistry displayed by Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, the relationship between the two characters became so real and so easy to be liked by the audience.
Apart from the story of romance that is created from the relationship David and Elise, The Adjustment Bureau itself and then get the appeal of both of them through the story thriller that obtained from the way the story continues where David was being chased by a group of people who do not want to do with the Elise continues to knit.
